Self-storage door locks and latches

Our doors can accommodate a variety of locks and latches. These locks can be placed on the left‑hand or right‑hand side on our self‑storage roller doors and swing doors. The tailor‑made fit of our locks decreases rattling and improves stability.

STREAMLINE Recessed door latch and lock

Recessed door latch with cylinder lock in yellow self-storage doorThe recessed door latch and lock are our own patented product. These distinctive locks are set into a recess on swing and roller doors and incorporate a soft‑feel plastic handle in the lock plates with a double‑locking rubberised sliding assembly. Our self‑storage door latch systems have no sharp or rough edges, which — along with the soft‑feel plastic parts — make it very customer friendly. The sliding double lock has a unique over‑lock construction which makes it impossible for your customers to use their own padlock to block the over‑lock capability.

The advantage of our unique latch does not solely lie in the ingenuity of the locking mechanism itself. It has further benefits for both you and your customers. One of these is that the lock sits in a recess, so it does not project out into the corridor.

Recess roller door latch and cylinder lockSome other advantages are:

  • maximising your self‑storage space — recessed latch allow for slightly narrower corridors where local regulations will allow this;

  • streamlining the look and feel of every corridor in your self‑storage facility;

  • reducing the number of damaged locks lowers maintenance costs;

  • minimising customer complaints about accidentally scraping past a protruding lock (which could injure your customer or damage the items they want to store).

Over‑lock construction and over‑lock plates
If your self‑storage customer is in default of rent payments, the over‑lock construction on the recessed lock and the flat Steel Storage slide latch allows CA2 slide bolt latch with overlock plate and management padlock you to easily lock the door with a management padlock preventing your customer from accessing their belongings until they have paid their rent.

Because the slide bolt latch (CA2) and the bezel latches don’t have a built‑in over‑lock construction, you will need an over‑lock plate and a management padlock to block access (see examples of over‑lock plates below).
