Interim Marketing Executive

Janus Europe is the market leader for the design and construction of the European self-storage industry, and we are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven, enthusiastic marketing executive to take on a maternity cover role in our team. The position will be for an initial 6 month fixed term contract, but may be extended to up to 12 months in total.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will be a great digital storyteller, and will constantly look to drive growth and brand exposure across our social media channels, these primarily include Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn but also Vimeo and YouTube. The right candidate will be a charismatic digital marketer, ready to make their mark in a busy marketing department with a focus on content and social media marketing in particular. They will play a part in creating high calibre creative campaigns and relish the challenge of getting to know a niche target market within the self-storage sector.

Responsibilities and duties for the role will include:

  • Run social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook) to enhance audience engagement
  • Create awareness of and develop the brand you’re marketing
  • Help with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns
  • Support the marketing manager in delivering agreed activities like email campaigns, social media updates etc.
  • Work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts
  • Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns
  • Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts
  • Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Liaise with designers and printers and organise photo shoots
  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Maintain and update customer databases
  • Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity
  • Help in implementing marketing campaigns as part of the overall marketing strategy.
  • Ensure database hygiene in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Prepare weekly or monthly marketing and sales reports for management
  • Coordinate with external agencies, when appropriate, to effectively manage events, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials and online activities
  • Keep track of marketing budget vs. spend

Notes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential. Experience of a CRM is desirable, but training can be provided in Microsoft Dynamics
  • This position will suit a knowledge seeker: someone with a real desire to understand how things work, who likes analyzing data (e.g. on Excel spreadsheets) and is able to spot trends
  • The role will be based at our Twickenham office, sits within our Sales department and will report directly to the Marketing Manager.

Finance Administrator

Janus Europe is the market leader for the design and construction of the European self-storage industry, and we are looking for a tenacious, enthusiastic and self-motivated Finance Administrator to join our team as we grow and develop. The Finance Administrator will ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing and debt collection, as well as maintaining records and ensuring compliance with external financial reporting.

Senior Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager

Janus Europe is the market leader for the European self-storage industry, and we are looking for a senior project manager to fit into our team as we grow and develop. Equally able to see the big picture as keep on top of all the details, the right candidate will have great organisational skills and technical know-how, as well as a passion for communication and relationship-building with clients, suppliers and the rest of the Operations team.

Responsibilities and duties for the role will include:

  • Building and developing relationships with new and existing clients, most with an entrepreneurial background, and some strong personalities
  • Seamless control of project from sales handover to client handover
  • Juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and keeping all lines of communication open
  • Planning resources
  • Purchasing, ordering and expediting of materials both in house and from external suppliers
  • Surveying of sites in the UK and Europe
  • Technical support and liaising between sales team, factory and client
  • Customer-facing project and technical support
  • Budget management and control of costs, as well as any contract variations
  • Project and budget reporting
  • Management of onsite installations
  • Management of subcontractors and external suppliers
  • Budget, financial and contract management and control
  • Customer satisfaction and complaints resolution

Notes:

  • The role will involve a significant amount of travel within the UK and Europe, as the successful candidate will need to visit project sites on a regular basis. It is essential that candidates understand this, and are happy with frequent travel
  • The successful candidate will need to be incredibly organized and able to juggle multiple projects and prioritise competing demands effectively
  • A project management qualification is desirable, but not essential
  • The successful candidate will be a qualified Quantity Surveyor or will be qualified by experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as the senior project manager will need to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders at different levels: from clients to subcontractors to team members and senior management
  • Technical knowledge of the construction industry is essential
  • Previous experience of managing a team would be preferred
  • Another European language would be desirable, but is not essential for the role
  • The role will be based at our Twickenham office, sits within our Operations Department and will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Senior Design Technician

Janus Europe is the market leader for the European self-storage industry, and we are looking for a Senior Design Technician to fit into our team as we grow and develop.

The Senior Design Technician will produce timely and accurate drawings with both AutoCAD and Revit in order to support the sales team, and will assist the Design Manager with the smooth running of the Design team, which operates across two locations.

 

Responsibilities and duties for the role will include:

  • Produce detailed drawings incorporating clients’ insights
  • Space planning and problem solving
  • Site visits and surveys when required
  • Design of 2D and 3D projects with AutoCAD
  • Design of projects with Revit
  • Communication with the sales team, operations team, production team and clients
  • Deputise for the Design Manager where appropriate

Position Requirements

  • Good understanding of architectural design and space planning
  • Experience working within architectural /construction projects
  • 3+ years’ experience in a related field
  • Advanced AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Comfort with the ‘grey areas’ of design and ability to problem solve
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Occasional travel will be required for this role, including site visits and visits to our other office in Peterlee, Co. Durham
